Astounding that a F pax doesn't get free access.
There are only a few cases in the US where you could get lounge access purely by virtue of a domestic F ticket. It's generally paying members and international premium pax only.

I'm surprised that you get no recripical benefits with Virgin America such as lounge access if you are a Velocity Gold or Platinum. Does anyone think this will change in the future given that VAustralia and VAmerica now share more flights etc. Virgin Australia hooks up with Virgin America for US flights - Flights | hotels | frequent flyer | business class - Australian Business Traveller

No. Because Virgin America don't have any lounges, and don't have any status programs.
