Hi, i am currently a velocity gold member travelling to the USA on delta flights. On my delta itinerary it has my velocity details and also Gold Medallion / Elite Plus. It does say included luggage is 2 X 23 kgs but as a gold member am I entitled to an extra bag or extra weight? If not what would the prices be for an extra bag or what the prices would be for extra weight. I have tried searching around but can't seem to find any info.

As a Virgin Gold or Platinum you get no extra baggage allowance on Delta i'm afraid.

Delta's excess (ie more than 2 or more than 50 lbs) baggage fees are here. Quick summary: USD200 per bag for the third and beyond from Australia to the US. Overweight (51-70 lbs) is USD75 per bag, and 71-100 lbs is USD200 per bag for Australia.

Are you booked directly through Delta or with a VA code? If a VA code, I think the VA allowances apply, although that may be only the VA ticketed allowance. (The extra allowance for VA elites isn't technically ticketed, as I understand it, so DL may not honour it even if you're on a VA code; I don't know.)
