Hi all,

I'm looking at some reward seats for PPP-BNE-MEL.

I can see 4x Y rewards on PPP-BNE...
I can see 4x Y rewards on BNE-MEL for a stack of flights...

But when I set PPP as origin and MEL as destination, those same connecting flights show no rewards

If I try and do multi-city domestic, the award inventory seems different again o_O.

If I book the flights on two PNRs, will Virgin check the bags through? Or will they force collect/re-check nonsense in BNE?

Craziness.

Force recollection as VAs policy is not to through check luggage.

Have you tried calling and explaining what you are after?

In the end I could see the through-routed awards available via Aeroplan for 12.5k each that chewed up some leftover miles (a lot less than the tier 2/3 VA pricing).

I know it would have been an interesting data point to call up, but that can lead to a lot of going in circles, so I didn't bother
