I have been trying to book Doha - Melbourne flights for flights in early October as I return to Australia from few weeks in Europe. In this month, I have seen at least 5 times business class rewards availability from Doha to either MEL, PER or CBR. I went to book the ticket immediately on each occasion and it took me as far as the payment page. I used my credit card on the first few occassions and used Apple Pay on the other attempts. I never made through the payment page since the tickets are all "no longer available" after I made the payment. No payments or points were deducted.
While I appreciate it could dispear if someone else is making the purchase at same time as me, but I can't imagine someone else is quicker then me every single time. When I called Velocity, they just said they don't have anything available. Has anyone experienced this issue? I am wondering if those business class rewards existed at all or it was simply a system glitch.
