Hey All

Just a quick one - i am pretty sure everything is going to work fine however I just wanted some others opinions!

I am here in Las Vegas and I was originally going to be driving back to LA to catch VA8 on 13/11. However plans have changed. Because i upgraded by VA8 flight to J from PE, I could not add a sector to this flight, there for I have had to make another booking to get back to LA.

I have booked VX797 on points in First landing in LAX at 7.10. Given they land in terminal 3 and VA8 departs from Terminal 3 i figured I would be ok for the connection time. VA8 departs at 11.10pm

Do all you experienced folk agree?

VA say they have made notes on the VA8 booking that I will be inbound from LAS however they can't check the bags through...

VA now actually departs from TBIT but check-in is still at T3.

You should have plenty of time to collect your luggage, check-in & stroll round to TBIT.

I used points for the flight and I am actually looking forward to giving VX First. I chose first mainly for the baggage allowance! I have done my fair share of shopping for the wife and chipmunks at home!

You shouldn't have any issues. If you're lucky they might interline your bags all the way home for you too?

VX probably won't interline bags on seperate PNRs - worth asking, just don't expect yes for an answer. Like everyone else has said, I think you'll be fine in terms of time.

First on domestic US carriers is just business class in aus. Much cheaper as well. Can usually pick it up for around 50$ more than an economy ticket by the time you factor in baggage costs.

VX had a deal a few months ago, I got "first" bookings for about $60 more and it includes check in luggage. No lounge access though.
