I know VA (VR) NR/PS do not get "free" access to the Koru Club at AKLi, unless they fly J/C/D or have bought Koru Club membership.
On here or was it AusBT, it was mentioned that people flying NZ or VA who do not have upper level status, can buy single entry to the Koru Club.
Later this month, I have a premY seat booked on NZ AKL to MEL.
I know flying NZ premY (L class on eticket), does not give entry to the Koru Club at AKLi, so, has anyone bought entry of late (since the AusBT article was published online?).

NZ don't sell PE Trans-Tasman. Did you perhaps buy a works deluxe fare?

Casual access to the Koru Club can be had for $55 if you want

If it is VA sold PE then lunge access is included, as it is for NZ works deluxe.

Yes. It would be included on those two fares. But the OP only mentions an NZ PE seat and L fare class (which is discount Y IIRC). So lounge access is unlikely.

I have seat 23A on the 777 from AKL to MEL, from SeatGuru, it "looks" like its premium Y.
I booked it wholly on the Air NZ website, with NZ flight numbers, (as we all know, wry, ... that I love wide bodied planes), and when I made a booking via VA a long time ago, for the 777 from AKL to MEL, someone at VA put me onto a narrow from AKL to SYD to ADL, in exit row, bah humbug! Exit row, nice touch, but I prefer the 777.
Aye, and I know I do loose SB for booking on Air NZ rather than on VA as a PS.
Will come back after Australia Day to say what it was like, dog slobber drool... my first in that "upahead" zone on the 777. Last time was down the back, via VB (at that time), no window seats available.
Now I know how to get window seats.

23A on the 77W is a PE seat. The question is, which fare did you book? Seat? Seat+bag? Works? Works Deluxe?

I booked the seat as Seat only, so that is why its L class.
Was surprised, but I don't think I picked PE!
Booked, wanted a window, got 23A.
Will wait and see, who knows, I might be moved, if that row is needed for parents with babies, as its (has) a "bassinet" anchor point.
Emperors Lounge is asking for Nzd$49 purchaseable online.
Bah, so many decisions, and yes, I did say I wouldn't you lot through this. Again.

Ah, yes, wanted a window seat, and ergo picked 23A for window.
Though, at the time, didn't realise it was PE.
I know WD get put into C to F, no window.
I know I also didn't buy Works either, definitely Seat Only.
Edit: did a dummy booking, directly on A(NZ) website, and put in Seat Only, and for an extra $20 (Aud$ from Aust booking), row 23 and A comes up as available.
From Seat Guru, I checked again, and it still shows row 23 on the 777 is PE.
I will give the Koru Club at AKL a test run.
Seeing the SYD Koru only has a replacement one for the time being, am going across SYD to AKL in J.
Thanks all for your feedback and questions.
Ok, will let this thread go down the line now.

That's the point I was trying to make earlier ;)

Enjoy the spaceseat. It's a decent way to fly trans-tasman on the cheap

I just hope I don't get "moved" due to operational reasons, that meaning baby and parent/s needing 23A.
If I get an offer of Oneup, and pay an additional Aud$350, woo hoo, 777 (NZ) J.
Have done 777 (EK) J and loved it.
So, ok, thanks everyone.
Paws crossed!

Bassinet rows in 77W PE are 23D and 23J, so your pretty safe in 23A. NZ doesn't provided bassinets to parents with babys on the Tasman & also on flights they do, they charge extra for these!

Highly unlikely they will move you for someone with an infant, I had it happen the other way around we're they have moved someone with an infant to my group sit together at prem check-in.

Ta Cavemanzk.
So far so good, it still shows as a 777 from SYD to AKL on 24/01, and 777 from AKL to MEL.
Happy for now, but it was a few short weeks before one of my previous NZ flights, when they switched from 767 to 320.
Ok, paws crossed for the 777 window seat both ways.

Pretty unlikely for an 77W to be swapped out, as the load are typically high.
