Haven't seen any mention of this around here, but thought it was worth drawing attention to. Virgin has begun hiring for a number of new roles under the VA and VFF brands as part of a "digital transformation."

"Currently we’re going through a ground breaking transformation with a renewed focus on our digital presence and member experience. At the core of our journey, we’re building from the ground up, bringing to our program to life by developing new digital experiences across web and native apps under a Digital Transformation Program."

Another listing details "Our focus is to build engagement in our key customer journeys through a new web and mobile experience utilising world class platforms and emerging technology to become Australia’s most loved loyalty program. We have secured our investment and begun planning and scope to transform our digital experience for good."

My understanding (through a working relationship) is that there's a huge emphasis on VFF becoming "best in class," including heavily expanded partnership opportunities and potential program/ops-based changes.

If VA could get their website to actually work properly, that would be a positive step.

Single sign on (that works) would be a transformation for VA

Their comically outdated and near unusable business portal was completely overhauled last weekend. Big improvement, I must say.

It's like listening to the spin DR's on Utopia, both funny and sad in equal proportions
Focus groups loved it...where are VA's "Berts"?
sorry you'll have to watch catch up on iview

This reminds me that I need to post an update on the Accelerate thread, but the new Business Portal looks pretty snazzy. From my very basic use so far, it looks clean (similar to the online check-in interface), easy to use and clear. I wonder if it's a test for an updated Retail interface/portal.

(Ah, just read Marty's comment a few posts above...)

Currently we’re going through a ground breaking transformation

There's nothing "ground-breaking" about creating a functional, responsive website or native apps for all mobile OS. These are basic requirements.
If say they included a feature to keep a record of your flights and make an interactive map (like a cross between flight tracker and flight radar) that would definitely be different.
