VA upgrade to Business

I have just checked the VA website to see if there are any Business Rewards flights available from SYD to ABU DHABI (I read in another thread that this is the best way to check upgrade availability) but it appears that the rewards page has now changed at is is now showing "economy rewards", "saver rewards" and "Flexi rewards" options - all at various points levels but nothing for PE or Business rewards. Does anyone know how I can now check availability, without having to call the velocity call centre?

I have just checked again and if I change "economy" to PE/Business it shows me PE Rewards, Business Rewards, Premium Saver, Premium and Business - I think this is new as I don't recall seeing it in the past. If there is nothing under "Business Rewards" does this mean that there are no upgrade available? How do the different classes referred to above now work (and do you earn SCs now - I seem to recall something about this too somewhere). Thanks

VA made changes to the website overnight.


If you cannot see business rewards available on the VA 29/30 flights - you are out of luck for a upgrade

Thanks, that is what I thought but I had been checking every day as one popped up very late at night last week but was gone by the time I was ready to call the next morning. I will just keep checking I guess.

I am in the same boat, has become part of my regular routine. Make coffee, check for reward flights. Hoping to land an upgrade for a trip in october. Looks like i will be continuing my streak of never being able to upgrade my flights.

I am three years in to a new job and I am doing annual trips to HQ in the USA. Out of six sectors, I have managed to secure 4 / 6 on J upgrades from Y+ - Thats BNE - LAX
