VA problems posting SCs

Hi all, this might be rant but please give me some perspective if you have any insights for this situation.

I have never had problems in the past with SCs posting a day or two after my VA domestic flights (the majority of my travel). I rarely had to follow-up with VA to have SCs posted, perhaps only when something odd had happened in the trip, such as a cancelled flight and airport rebook where the Velocity number didn't come across to the new flight.

However, recently there are a number of examples where SCs have not posted after travel and retro has simply not worked - for some reason they do not respond either denying the claim or crediting it...simply nothing.

I have narrowed this down to a certain type of bookings when I do work for a particular client that insists that I book with their corporate travel agent. In this (thankfully rare) case that I work for this client, the CTA books on my behalf instead of the client reimbursing my costs, but it means that I lose control of the process. However, I am meticulous in ensuring that my Velocity number if listed on the booking and it always shows up on the boarding pass... yet no automatic credit of SCs. I have checked the fare classes and these bookings should be posting with SCs. I should note that this particular client (govt) retains the points from these bookings, no great loss, but usually and in the past, I have still received the SCs.

So, does anyone know if some government departments are now witholding both points and SCs from bookings they pay for ? I didn't even know this was possible... I mean, I'm the one doing the flying so I should get the SCs even if the points go to the payer.

Thanks in advance.

I would actually like to know this as well.

Flew last Friday with VA booked by my departments agent and yet to have the SC posted.

I believe some of the corporate deals that are done don't include SC's and points in order to get cheaper fares.

Following up on my earlier post - these flights are still not crediting (2 more trips booked previous to my post have now passed without appearing on my account).

But I do want to publicly acknowledge the AFF Velocity rep for chasing up the retro team for the first few missing SC trips. Thanks VFF Keith !
