Saw someone in another thread saying something about having been VA Platinum for 4 years.

Just curious: Who else here has been VA platinum since the day it was introduced?

I'm assuming there is a relatively small group of us who had what was then double gold worth of SCs and have remained with VA ever since. There's probably a few who were gold and got it shortly after, a few who had it and lost and quite a few more that VA have won over with status matches and their new product mix.

Anyone else a platinum veteran?

Not me, but partner has been VA Plat since introduction. Unfortunately, will probably drop back to SG this year though - sold our business, don't fly as regularly :(

Yup, since day 1. 25th Aug '2011? Or somewhere near that. Not for much longer though, very limited passenger flying over the last year, so I think by Aug 2017 I will have parachuted back to Red!
On the flip side, I did just gain my CPL licence, so hopefully within the year I'll always be turning left when I board....

Yeah I think I have been - however the Velocity my account website is down again so can't check.....

I status matched from QF to Gold and then, thanks to a NZ double status credit promo, became a WP in January 2012. I've never looked back.

Yep since launch, also had 2 companion Plat and 1 companion Gold so 3 comps in the last 3 years. We don't buy J or Flexi and I only fly domestic.. So just a lot of flights. Got the Qantas status match so I'm thinking about giving them a go. Never been on a Qantas flight in my adult life.
