VA platinum/gold seating maps for 777?

Just wondering if there are any premium seating maps out there showing where platinum/gold are able to request? If not, does anyone know the allocation for economy on the 777?

You can just do a dummy booking online and it will show you where platinum/gold can select.

I just looked and as a Platinum I can access from Row 20, which is the first row of Y seats, with no frequent flyer number entered I can select from row 34, or pay extra for exit row 26. I would assume that Golds would access from a few rows back than Platinum

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, don't have status yet, but will be gold by the time I fly the 777. Just wanted to see what to expect to open up by then. Anyone out there please confirm what's available to Gold?

Oh one more question: Do you get offered row 26 for free or at a discount as platinum/gold?

Given that Row 25 is the last row in the mini Y cabin I would hazard a guess and say that Golds would have access from Row 27? Hopefully someone with VA gold can provide something a bit more accurate

Exit row seats are $135 one way.

Also the seat options I mentioned are based on the current seat configuration, I'm not sure what impact there is in the Y cabin once the new J cabin is rolled out

When I was Gold, the first row I could select was the last row of the front Y cabin.

If you have an Expert Flyer subscription (and a VA Gold FF number) you can see the map too without trying a dummy booking.

I just looked on EF for VA1 on Sunday (new config) and the mini Y cabin is empty with exception of 20K. If I was you I'd just keep an eye out, these seats will open up at some stage, I would say most likely when OLCI opens

Appreciate your response David! I was under the impression that VA INTL didnt have ONCI? If so is this the same as their domestic opening up around 24 hours before departure? Otherwise i will ask at the desk on Sunday. Cheers!

Yes that appears correct, just get there nice and early on Sunday. You have priority checkin as well so hopefully no big lines.

Might even be worth giving the contact centre a call tomorrow or Saturday to see if they can move you

I can confirm the forward mini Y cabin does open up for SG >48 hours before the flight. I have now moved up to 22 A, couldnt do it myself though had to ring the velocity call centre. Should help me beat the rush at LAX.
