So I have recieved an email saying they have changed the complimentary passes (which u get issues with silver etc) to now be vaild for 12 months instead of 6 months. which I think is great... Except for the fact I just became silver at the start of this year, and mine are only vaild for 6 months and I only tend to fly at the end of the year meaning these are more than likely going to go to waste. Any know of the chance of them extending the date on passes issued previous to this?

While this is good news, it's a pain for me too.

Just moved up to SG have 2 passes I'd really like to give to someone else...

I have two that re-generate every year as a benefit of the Velocity Amex Platinum Card, They always expire as I haven't managed to guest more than 3 pax in the lounge! (When I was gold they were useful though!)

There's a question - if I've got a couple of single entries from my Silver days, can I use them to guest in additional people as a Gold?

Sure can! On a couple of occasions as Gold I had used single entry passes for when I wanted to guest more than 1.
