VA can't access my booking - Any advice?

Gday everyone,

I booked my wife and I on BNE-LAX-MSP-YWG (round trip) all on one ticket via delta.com, for this December.

The BNE-LAX leg is operated by Virgin Australia. I would normally book this leg via VA website but the savings achieved by booking it all on delta.com as opposed to booking one part on VA and one part on Delta was quite substantial.

This is the first time we will be travelling with an infant.

As its a Delta ticket, I called them to add an infant, which they have done. I asked if they could please assign me a bassinet row on the VA long haul flights, and they said I need to call VA to do this.

I rang VA, and they cant even access my booking, stating that its coming up with an error. They can see that I am booked on the flights, but cannot access the booking at all. They told me to call Delta back to make sure there is no technical issue from their end. I did this, and they saw no issues from their end. Called VA back and they said they cant access the booking so cant help!

The flights aren't until December, but for peace of mind, I'd really like to lock in bassinet seats! Anyone have any advice, they are both sending me back and forward to each other!

Thanks

Try asking delta for your virgin PNR which should be different to the delta PNR number, that's the only thing i can think of... if that doesn't work you might have to try tp have it escalated, probably with delta first

thanks for replying mate. sorry to sound vague, but is the PNR number just the six letter/number confirmation number? If so I have provided both VAs and DLs to each call centre member.

Yes it is, I would try calling virgin again and try to resolve, the old hang up and call again trick. if you still cant then this may sound stupid but post on social media on the virgin facebook page or the likes, not complaining just state what your trying to do and that you have already called etc. might help with getting the problem escalated

thanks mate...

I just received an email from "Virgin Australia Itineraries" showing myself, my wife and baby in 20A and 20B. There was no wording in the email, just the seat allocation, so I am presuming that this is resolved.

I think that 20A and 20B are bassinet rows on a 777 (flight VA7).

Cheers
