Comes complete with the IFE screens on back. :D

Would have cost MEGA, MEGA $1000s to buy and fit - very odd they did not onsell them and left in-situ and all working and hooked up to IFE, when the A330 planes were let go?

Images on these on pallets were clearly taken in a Virgin Maintenance Hanger - seems like it is a staffer selling them personally and not Virgin? Presumably they have been written off as junk, of no value.

Seller is 'Mick' - and using his ebay handle sericjnr with his surname first, and the first name used in feedback, it is simple to pin it down to a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer · Virgin Australia Engineering - Virgin Tech of that name, according to google - and he has moved a few sets already -

Doing some research it appears these are the REALLLLY old A330 seats - all leather but the ones BEFORE the swish later BED versions that were fitted subsequently. So these were probably in storage etc for years. This 13 year old review shows the ones being offered on ebay -

Ebay lot description -

Virgin A330 Business Class seats.

These were removed servicable from the Virgin Australia A330 fleet as part of a cabin reconfiguration programme.

They are still fully functional, but need a 114v converter to operate in Australia. These are readily available online.

They are quite heavy but are on shipping pallets which Make things a lot easier. Pick up is is Tullamarine Victoria or I can deliver locally if you have a forklift to unload.

Inspection welcome in Tullamarine or Gisborne.

As to why they didn’t on sell them at the time… outdated for business class, and too big/expensive for premium economy. The next airline probably didn’t want them!

I would buy lie flat first class seats, install them in our bedroom and every night we can pretend we are flying first class somewhere…
