Seems like standard domestic fares on VA have gone from $139 to $142. (Ok $3 is not a big deal - but it's the principle! And you know this means QF will probably follow suit shortly)

So anyone know what's the cause of this?
  • oil prices have increased?
  • the economy's booming?
  • better snacks on board?

Supply of seats has gone down, but essentially they think people will pay it

Yep. No more Saver lite and increase in Saver fares.

I'll definitely be looking to fly less.
