In today's local paper here in PNG there is an announcement from Air Niugini:

Air Niugini remains committed to it's Brisbane service.
In light of the announcement that Virgin Blue [sic] and APNG have discontinued the code-share agreement on Virgin services to Brisbane

It goes on to talk about the many options that Air Niugini has etc etc

I didn't see the release from Airlines PNG, but according to news release from PomSOX (Stock Exchange) APNG chose not to continue it's agreement as it expired on the 13th April.

Lets hope that Velocity rewards still continue, as APNG flights to Cairns from POM are normally good value. I checked the VA website - but nothing in its news feed. And hoping that VA continue with the same flight schedule and not stuff up a good thing (these flights are always full)...

FYI :)
