Hi which of these flights VA 683 Mel-Per or VA 589 Syd-Per is more likely to retain the A332 J configuration? It seems VA is swapping to 737 fairly regularly and I would like to avoid this if possible. I will be connecting so it is not really much of a difference going to either Syd or Mel. However, Mel is a 4 hour connection versus 40 min in Syd. Flight is on a Sunday.

Very hard to say with a 100% rate that they won't change your plane on the day, or a few hours before flight.
Maybe Sydney has less chances of an equipment swap from 330 to 737.

VA589 on a Sunday tends to be very stable for an A330 service. I’ve had a booking for about 8 months and I’ve been on it many times.
