Can this be done?

About to book flights to Johannesburg and Singapore Air is the best fare. However fare class is N so would not be eligible for points accrual to VFF. I could accrue the points to my Air NZ FF as it is Star Alliance.

However I have no status with Star Alliance but am Gold with VFF.

If I use the Star Alliance number on booking, can I still flash my VFF card and get priority check in, luggage, lounge access etc?

Thanks!

Fare class N also does not earn anything with Airpoints. Krisflyer is likely the only FF program that you will get anything for an N fare. You'll probably just be best off with your Velocity # on the booking.

What's the fare difference between N and the lowest earning fare class for VFF?

Notzac - that's the path I went down. Electing to pay the slightly higher fare (~120) to get into W class so as to earn.

$120 from N to W .......do I assume W class on Singapore is not premium economy?
