I can't get a definitive answer from either Emirates or Jetstar customer support on this...
If I use Skywards points to fly Jetstar "J" (say SYD to DPS), do I get Jetstar lounge access? Jetstar customer support says I have to purchase a "max pack" to get lounge access, but they could not say whether that is the case on redemptions.
The max pack is around $200 extra if I pay cash for the fare. It's just not clear whether the redemption would get me into the poverty pack J, or the max pack J.
I guess it's a case of "assume the worst". Everybody knows Jetstar J us not a real business class, so taking lounge access out of the equation too, it's hard to justify the extra points.
Unless I'm being a pessimist ... has anybody had a good result with this redemption?
