Using rewards for accommodation

Sometime in the last couple of months the ANZ Rewards site has changed the platform for checking what accommodation you can redeem points for. Unfortunately they have changed it for the worse! It seems now that just about every city you enter to search for places to stay now comes up with the answer that the location could not be found and to ring their customer desk during office hours. Far from user friendly. You used to be able to enter a city name and the platform would give you the possible matches in a drop-down menu......but not any more.

Apart from the fact that the points conversion rate is nowhere as good as for flights what experiences have others had using ANZ Rewards for hotel bookings?
