Using Qantas points for hotels - discount codes?

Hi all

I am looking to book next year's hotel stay using my Qantas points. I noted that there was a space for a voucher code on the booking form.

is it possible to reduce the number of points you need to redeem for a Qantas hotel stay by using coupon style codes? Has anyone done this? Do you have any good codes that are current?

Never seen any, not that I have ever looked as points fir hotels not something I do.

I suspect the voucher code is the $30 hotel voucher Qantas occassionally sends with flight bookings.
