For those frustrated by the fact that AC domestic award flights don't show up on LM - try doing your search to/from a US city (or other international port) - some combinations will show AC domestic segments. eg if you search YVR-YYZ no fights show up but if you search SEA-YYZ for the same date you have a good chance SEA-YVR-YYZ will show availability. Then trying screenshots of this and perhaps the support center will book the domestic segment(s) only.

I have sent an example of this to LM support asking for them to fix the problem - I did not ask them to book it as the date I want isn't open yet.

Also - check my post on the UA forum - booking window on UA is now 364 days.

I would have thought that these were married flights, i.e. you will only be able to book SEA YVR YYZ in it’s entirety, not just the YVR YYZ sector.
Not sure - as the YVR-YYZ flights show up stand alone on other *A sites - eg UA - I'm still waiting for LM to repsond to my e-mail - which is odd as they usually do respond to requests to "support" even if it's to say "too bad, so sorry".

Let us know how it goes!

I know LM is actively restricting some connections. For example CDG-FRA is available in J class standalone, but only available in coach if booking CDG-FRA-HDN-SYD.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

@mel-Traveller - I know - mr LL and I are now down to our final 85K points each - will run these down to zero then kiss LM goodbye - LM was great while the party lasted. Bought a bunch of AC points when they were on sale quite some months ago - these are better value than LM (IMO) but their points sales are few and far between - in fact once post-Covid travel ramps up - they probably won't have another sale.

I'm using Aeroplan too, bought at the 100% sale. Also have 80K LM left.

LM still has some value... looking to get back from Europe in April LM was able to offer me connections from AMS to SYD whereas Aeroplan had nothing at all either on EY or star - you had to make your own way to CDG, FRA or LHR. (More complicated for me as I wanted to go to MEL, and neither LM or Aeroplan could do that from AMS - both had an additional cost either to the Euro gateway or SYD-MEL.)

Finally received a response from LM - as follows:-

First off, let us apologize for the delay responding you.

We appreciate your feedback which we've forwarded to the area in charge. We're always looking to improve our customers experience and your comments help us to do so.

Thank you for your preference.
