Looking at a trip to Sri Lanka next year but there appears to be one only seat available on any MH flight (there are plenty with one but never 2). Is this normal and do they ever release any more?

I could write the book on this burmans! Ive used AA miles to book CMB-KUL-MEL MH J. Yes MH only release one seat but CX release truck loads last minute and they have the flagship longhaul J product to CMB.
I am hoping we can perfect our booking by changing to CX as I dont fancy doing a true red eye in a 737 to KUL.

UL dont release any J seats at all- i think they believe they can make more money auctioning them off cheaply.

CMB is zoned Asia as you probably know- its good in that its only 35k one way but bad in that if it was zoned ME I could take EY home!

Yes, it was the fact it is Asia that attracts, after USDM closed it doors it appears the only one.

are CX running the intl J to CMB now? I've suffered through the "regional" J on the 2am departure recently

could you take a flight to Male and do Etihad from there?

Was there a consideration for paying $$ for the CMB-MLE flight? It is typically a cheap-ish (and short) flight. And I think UL still allows for bidding for upgrades if the Y cabin offends...

Happy wandering
