Hi All

Am I able to use my daughter's AA points to redeem a flight for myself? I originally bought the points for my daughter but she is unable to use them and they are going to expire in March. Last year I donated 1,000 to charity to keep the account active but I'd like to actually use them now. If it's do-able, how do I go about it?

I am looking at a one-way J class from USM (or BKK) to MEL in Oct 17. I have used the KVS tool to search for award availability but there doesn't seem to be anything available at the moment (the only J leg showing is a SIN to MEL with JQ and that's not an option )

Thanks in advance

You won't be able to redeem AA mikes from USM as it is not serviced by partner airlines.
If your daughter is a minor explain this to the AA agent otherwise they won't accept your credit card for the taxes, it will have to be in your daughters name or you can try to use visa or MasterCard and lie to the agent providing them with your daughters name and your cc number.

As far as award seats availability I can find 1 seat for your date on MH, BBK-KUL-MEL hopefully the AA agents can to.

Good Luck.

EDIT: unsure why it uploaded 3 screenshot?
when I only chose 1
