Hi all,

I know it's close to November but I was wondering whether anyone would be able to assist with a status run I'm planning? I'll be in the States in Nov/Dec and thought now would be as good a time as any to do my first run :) My itinerary is very flexible, but my assessment date is Nov 30th, so I'd want any SC to come through in time to reach Plat. I'm chasing 630 SCs, although the true number will probably be slightly less as I'll have a few domestic economy legs with AA within the States separate from the run, I just don't know how many will fall before Nov 30th.

I fly into JFK on the 3/11 and there are a few ports that I'll be visiting, inc BOS, DCA and MIA. Other possible ports include SFO, LAS, MSY, YVR and YUL as well, but nothing is booked in as of yet and I'd want to spend actual time in these locations rather than just flying through. I have a very flexible itinerary and I'm open to positioning flights as required.

My current plan was to do a LAS-SJU run with eight segments coming in at around $808 (Recent price drop! On ITA, haven't validated it on AA just yet) for 630 SCs if I route a leg through LAX. Without the LAX routing, I get 600 SCs. The LAX routing gets in about 5 hours later but that's not a huge problem.

Does anybody have any other routes that might be a better option? I'm pretty happy with the earn on this run and can't find much else that compares, but I'm pretty new to all of this. Are there any other East Coast options that I've missed out? Particularly ones that would tie in a SFO visit, or maybe two one way runs?

I know of a 720 SC run out of LAS ending in SJU for about 820 at the moment if you are interested
 
best I have seen is out of LAX-SJU is 682 a few weeks ago, but doubt that these prices will be seen again, I heard on the US radio when I was there a few weeks ago that the domestic airlines are not trying to discount or increase seat inventory, rather just content to run with normal fares on a take it or leave it basis.
