Hi,

Approx four years ago I was booked for a holiday to USA and Canada. Three months before I was to leave, I was charged with possession of marijuna. With the pending court case I immediatley applied for a visa....which was denied. I lost a horrible amount of money on booked flights and accommodation. Eventually I was fined $750 with no conviction. Now I have recovered from the loss, I would like to take the kids on a two week holiday to Disney World in Florida. What are my chances of obtaining a visa now?

Not good...

I believe you need to wait 5 years before they would even consider issuing you a visa, even then I wouldn't be holding your breath.

Problem is because you instantly applied for a visa with the pending court case whatever argument of "no conviction" or "spent convictions scheme" you may have been able to use at the 10 year mark (assuming you where over 18) have also gone out the window.
