I was reading an article in the International Herald Tribune in Bangkok this morning which stated that US Airlines collected more than $6 billion in baggage and reservation change fees last year
The highest amount since fees became common 5 years ago
These fees, along with charges for boarding early or picking prime seats, have helped to return the industry to profitability.
Airlines typically charge $25 each way for the first bag, $35 for the second bag and various amounts for overweight or oversize bags.

I bet QF and VA would like to match those figures

Well, they either charge these fees or put up the airfare. So breaking it out is a bit misleading as it's all revenue.

What was their total revenue I wonder (all sources)?
