urgh! unpleasant sights in the J toilet

Was on QF10 recently and went to the toilet twice and on both times was confronted with an unpleasant sight
1. excrement not flushed (flushed easily when I pushed the button)
2. disposable seat cover not removed (looked used!)
Why, oh why?

On one hand maybe somehow someone forgot to flush. On the other it could've been F, J or, Y - there's always someone who thinks their Sugar Honey Iced Tea doesn't stink.

Hard to believe but about the only benefit of the doubt is that not every culture uses the same sort of toilet, but it isn't rocket science!!!

This reminds me of the episode where Penny (1st class Flight Attendant) is sent down the back to work in economy as first class is empty that day.

Brought to you by the same people who leave the loo door hanging open when they leave, the sink full of their dirty water and wait for it...bits of loo paper hanging on the inside loo door handle. On the other hand its not half as disgusting as people who leave their bags of vomit and dirty nappies in seat pockets. At least the former bothered to go to the designated area for that kind of thing. :shock:

Sometimes it's hard to find the toilet's flush mechanism, particularly on some airbus models.

This coupled with the fact that some people are use to public toilets which flush themselves, may also lead to this becoming an increasing problem on aircraft. (As people assume they don't need to flush, when the button is not extremely obvious.)

still no real excuse.

the one time recently i had to slum it in economy LCY-MAD, i was absolutely astonished at how disgusting the facilities were at the back of an aircraft

i really do hope it's because people can't find the flush button
