Hi all,

Sincere apologies if this is in the wrong place or it has been answered before.

I am flying Sydney-London with BA in World Traveller Plus. I've been given a bit of a boost with my work allowance for the trip so I was hoping to upgrade to business for the trip, but preferably not all of it. I am an Avois and FF member however I do not have sufficient points with either for an upgrade (I usually fly to the States for work, and with either Virgin or United).

So I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade just one leg of the trip, say, the Singapore-London leg. Does BA allow this? When I click on "upgrade my class with cash" it says, "Sorry, it is not possible to change this booking on ba.com. Please contact your booking/travel agent." I assume this is because I am flying Melbourne-Sydney with Qantas, and also London-Frankfurt, all on the same ticket.

Any and all feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

If the flight is ticketed SYD-LHR then it might be hard to upgrade on a single sector alone. As the site says at this stage you have to speak with your TA or BA if booked direct and ask the cost of changing the fare. Alternatively you could aim for paying for an upgrade at the point of departure, cheaper but the risk it won't be available. Do you have any status with QF or BAEC? Even without there may be a chance of an operational upgrade if WT is oversold and they bump WTP to CW.
