Travelling with my mother in Y+ to LHR early next year and we want to put in an upgrade to J. We both decided since I do a lot more flying than her, we should try and use her points for the upgrade. Problem is, she is NB so I am a little worried the upgrade won't come through if we request using her points. Is this an issue I should be concerned with or is the upgrade lottery based on status of pax traveling?

Would you have enough points if she transferred 100k points to you & you then submitted the request?

If you are travelling together and both have enough points and your are WP then i would go through on your account, thats if I read the post correctly?

In terms of priority, obviously your chances are higher if you were solo, however i would give them a call.

What are the flight details, we can check seating through EF.
