Upgrade possible on QF ticket to SFO purchased with a Gift Voucher

I have recently purchased a J ticket SYD - SFO return on QF. The purchase was made with a regular QF gift voucher of value $100 and balance on credit card.

I know the flight cannot be requested for upgrade as the online request system doesn’t allow it.

However, are there other means by which an upgrade request can be placed? For example, if I call the contact centre can a request be loaded “manually”?

Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

If you are flying J SYD-SFO, there is no higher class that you can upgrade to?

I beleive there is only a single 747 left with 4 classes, and even on this the "first" seats are marketed as J

There is only 1 4-class 747 left, however they haven’t sold F on the 747 for a number of years
