Just got an e-mail (previewed only) from [email protected] , headed 'Starwood Preferred Guest' reminding me to change my password.

Anyone else get this; I assume its a phishing e-mail ? It certainly looks real enough in preview mode (all the footnotes etc).

Got it. According to CID Link check, it was a genuine address, but I saw no need to take any action.

I got it too.

That said, always delete that email and go directly to starwood yourself and login from there so you don't take any chances.

Genuine. It went straight to the login page with my user name.Still brought it up in a new window when I wanted to log in.

Yes, it's genuine, they have probably seen an increase in attempts to access accounts from people who use the same password across different sites, thanks to the recent ebay leak of significant proportions. Or they had an issue themselves which is below radar.
