For those wanting an alternative for QF to Texas. The flight times are 17:30hrs Houston - Sydney and 15:45hrs Sydney - Houston. Another long range B787 flight - unfortunately with 2-2-2 J. I doubt that it will ever be on my radar but obviously a nice new option for some.

They must see a market to Houston which is (was) a hub for Continental so you can go anywhere from there.
