At least an interline and a bilateral FF (Earn and Burn) agreement to start off with.

They won't be codesharing at this stage (taking into consideration the failed AA/B6 alliance application which included codeshares).

UA and B6 will be planning to swapping some JFK and EWR slots, enabling UA to restart JFK-LAX/SFO services in the future.

It appears that’s all it will ever be, according to the interview with the UA CEO I watched.

I guess it will be similar to the relationship between AA and AS+HA as fellow oneworld members, who also recognise each others paid lounge programs.

I think JetBlue has learnt from the whole Northeast Alliance debacle to not want to push further than what can be done.

Yup. I think AS/HA got lucky in that both were fairly geographically specific airlines so wasn’t really a competition concern.

I doubt DOJ will approve any more mergers.
