unable to do seat selection on qantas ticket

just trying to figure it what's up. i have a Sydney to Tokyo ticket booked for next week in premium economy. initially i could do a seat select and it was in the j cabin. but when i checked.today it was no longer available. it said that my flight did not have advanced seat reservation and only allows to choose window or aisle

anyone know why? aircraft change?
 
It's either that or the percentage of preselected seats have occurred.

ok so the seat map has finally re-opened and I'm back in the Y+ cabin. Interestingly it's still a 4 class bird to Tokyo but instead of being seated in the lower deck J cabin I'm now in the W cabin hmm. Maybe they have too many J passengers and relocated Y+ pax back into the Y+ cabin?

So just to be clear, I assume you have purchased a Y+ ticket and not purchased a J fare?? While they do sometimes provide J seats to Y+ passengers, it can also change without notice.
