Unable to Contact Skiddoo and Tickets disappeared

Got a call from half paniced relatives,

they have SIA tickets for March 2020, they were able to reschedule to April 2020 (this was done back in Feb or Jan)

They were offered either travel creidt or rescheudlign options via skiddoo,

however they cannot contact them for the past few weeks,

whats more disturbing, is their tickets that were visible in their singapore airlines account as of today, doesnt show up at all,

now, Im panicing for them because isnt this exactly what happened with fly365, where they were refunding flghts before folding?

should I get credit card company involved now or would that jeopardise anything?
 
Without knowing more specific details, I’d say their flight has been cancelled. Very few airlines will be operating in/out of Australia in April.

Unless it is critical, your relatives should be staying put and not flying anywhere.

travelling is out of their mind and so they should be,

now im worried about skiddoo "illegally/dodgily" refunding the tickets, keeping the money and going under like fly365

whats the best way to get their money back and not lose out?

Credit card charge back might work but the travel date hasn’t occurred yet. No harm to ring your bank and ask if you can do a chargeback in these circumstances.
 
About to go through this process and get money back for 2 return flights scheduled for June/July this year with Vietnam Airlines booked through Skiddoo. It is impossible to get in touch with them.
Will be putting through a dispute with Amex on the flight purchase transaction.
Then contact Vietnam Airlines to verify if any payment was received for the tickets from Skiddoo and if not, provide this to Amex. Should get the money back.

Did the same last year with Bestjet. Swore I would never book through third party company again, but I'd booked with Skiddoo in the past, booked these tickets through them last December before Covid-19 and confident all would be okay.

But unfortunately it is not.

we just ended up intitiating a charge back about a month ago, citibank if i recall

in our case, our ticket was tickted via SIA, and then just disappeared
I believe the flights were cancelled, however we didnt check if skiddoo had "refunded" the tickets
 
Out of the blue today we received an email from Skiddoo who advised we can go ahead and cancel our flights and get a full refund. However, the refund will take 8-10 weeks to process due to a high volume of cancellations. I can't work out if that is a Skiddoo issue or an Airline issue.

$1900 refund from a $2000 charge,
ironic how we got an email about a refund from skiddo after nothing from them from months,

will still pursue the extra $100 as well

Hi Sopoor, We too paid by a citibank credit card, & when we wanted to change our flights from Feb 2020 to May 2020, we were slugged $438 ( per ticket ) extra plus $77 admin fees. We didn't end up going & have been asking for a refund, but like you said getting hold of Skidoo is very hard. If you don't mind, can you please elaborate more about " charge back"? How do we go about it?... and also, does anyone know if we can get our Date change fees back from SIA or Skiddoo?

You do chargebacks via the bank,
So if the merchant is stuffing you around, it's usually a very straight fwd by bypassing them (in my experience)

But since covid, refunds seem to be a lot less straight fwd for airfares
But if you contact citibank, i would claim every cent you spent, and then see what the bank bank says/outcomes

I've had some mini wins with chargebacks with merchants who stuff me around
