UK Business Trip - Visa Requirements

Hi everyone,

Would love to know of anyone who has entered the UK on Business for a period of less than 6 months.

What documents did you have to bring and how did you find the immigration people to be and what sort of questions do they ask?

I'm doing it for the first time in a few weeks and would love to hear from some others.

I've only entered the UK a twice for business but on neither occasion was asked to provide documentation.

One of those visits was for a nine-week in house training program and I had been provided with a letter to present if necessary but it was not requested.

EDIT: Just read your link properly and noticed it was specifically about those entering with a visa. I didn't - if you do then your documentation standards will probably be higher.

I'm not entering on a visa. Just have a document from the UK head office saying I have to come over to provide training & support to our staff over there.

Was just a bit worried after hearing horror stories of people being turned away on arrival.

Been there a few times for work and pleasure and never been asked about what work but have had some aggressive immigration people quiz me about how did I meet the person I was staying with etc etc but nothing that a few polite answers didn't fix.
