Apologies if this is somewhere here already but the words I've searched on haven't revealed anything. A quick look at the rules does the same though I'm sure it must be answered somewhere.

Soon I'll be spending some days with the OH at Sydney Hilton. It looks like I may have to go interstate during that time leaving OH at the hotel. If I stay at another Hilton can I earn base points/nights at both at the same time? I know this would not be possible through Priority Club at an IHG hotel.

If OHs room is booked in your name I'd assume no extra nights/stays would accrue, but base points should still accrue. I haven't done what you suggest, but I have booked two rooms in one hotel and recieved base points on the total amount (rooms x 2 + incidentals) but only 1 stay and 2 nights for a two night stay (with the 2 rooms). It was all added to the one account though, which with different hotels, would not be possible so who knows how that will post. Maybe the Hilton system of tracking stays/nights isn't advanced enough to cross check dates at other hotels.

EDIT: I think I might change my thoughts on this. A stay/night doesn't have to be 24hours long, so business travellers may well do exactly as you suggest without the OH so why not? A night at SYD H early checkout, day use at HOTP for a meeting and then back to SYD H for checkin for the next night. I can see that as being fairly common perhaps.
