I'm trying to set up a EDR account for my mother to capitalise on a missed points opportunity. Since she doesn't have a QFF account and unlikely to ever get one, I put in my QFF number so the points would credit to me. The application threw up an error asking me to put in a valid QFF number, which lead me to believe their maybe some rule preventing it. I couldn't see anything in the T&Cs that prevent it however. Does anyone else do what I'm proposing and how did they get around it (or perhaps its simply an edr fault?)

Sign her up and do a family transfer, AFAIK it's the only solution.

It is a restriction in the rules. An Everyday Reward card can only be linked to one QFF account, and also one QFF account can only be linked to one Everyday Rewards card.

You can either go the path Markis10 has suggested.

Aside from that, I think some people have duplicate cards with their number on it for other members of the family.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It's possible these days to end up with 3 EDR cards with the same barcode number. The first one is the temporary card which can be picked up in any Woolworths store. The second is the large credit card sized card that comes a few weeks after registration. The third is a keychain sized card which comes attached to the large card. Beware that the barcode on the keychain rubs off easily.

Any new member can get these three cards and any existing member who uses the replace card function using a temporary card number can also end up with three cards with the same barcode.

There are endless possibilities as to what can be done with these three cards which have the same barcode. Some of these possibilities would break the terms and conditions of the EDR and QFF programs.

That is surprisingly easy but really clever. I would not have thought of it. Thank you!

Just report your EDR card missing and you will receive the EDR card and the keyring card.

IMO it's better your mother to have her own account so they can better target her with EDR offers. Also you can monitor her offers, so can make sure you take up all the good ones she might not fulfil.

Just be aware ordering a replacement means you get a new card number. You may not be able to take up any offers that week, as the offers are for a specific card number.

I would either photocopy and laminate your card (as I've done) or create one using the barcode creator above. I've done that too, and it scans ok at the stores.

I'm looking to get a key tag as I never received one. From the information that rainbowgirl has posted I went and picked up a temporary card. When I go to the Replace Card option, there are 2 choices. You can select "I have a new card" or you can choose "Please send me a replacement card and keytag".

Can anyone confirm that if I choose "I have a new card" and enter the temporary number then I will be sent a plastic card and a keytag?

"I have a new card" refers to the temporary card available at various places. In a few weeks the other two cards with the same number will be sent to you, if you use this option. This guarantees you will have a card to use while you wait for the new ones to be sent in the mail. I don't know much about the other option. If you use the other option you might get a chance to print your own temporary card if you have a printer. I had to use the replace card function last year so I used a temporary card from WW then got the other two cards in the post a few weeks later.

Thanks. I took the "I have a new card" option and entered the number of my temporary card that I picked up.

It then came up with:
"You have successfully replaced your Everyday Rewards card. You will receive your new card in the mail within 14 days.Meanwhile you can print your temporary card by clicking on the link below and using your card straight away."

So you could print more than one temporary card if you wanted to.

That's great gizzard. It's good that there is an option to print another card. Hope you get lots of offers soon.

You don't need to go to this extent to print another card. Just go to the barcode generator above and key in your current card number to print your own card.

The replacement card has now arrived along with the key tag and both have the same number as the temporary card that I picked up. That gives me 2 additional cards to hand around and I can always print some more (or use DeKa's suggestion to create my own).

Interestingly the new card has my name printed on the front which wasn't the case with the old one.
