TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

I'm looking forward to the new season of Doctor Who, it's been way too long between seasons.

If you're in Melbourne or the Gold Coast, there are a couple of large science fiction conventions coming up called Supanova in April.

John Barrowman, Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and many other stars will be there(both young, old and everything in between) I'll be there all weekend, mostly chasing John Barrowman around. I saw him in 2016 at OzComicCon and earlier this year in concert at Hamer Hall but I can't resist the chance to see him again.

Tickets to the Melbourne convention at the Showgrounds are on this link.

I may be going to Cardiff next year. Just sayin'. ;)

Agree on the music it is definitely the best part....but man alive it just seems so out of place.
Don’t forget Jimmy Page played on the track.

Try the new BBC series The Terror. Should appeal I would think. Rum, buggery, sailor eating bears and the Arctic. What more could you want.:)

Well you have tempted me. I have five episodes to watch.....assuming I can't sleep on BA32 tonight.

Didn't know Jimmy Page played on Hurdy Gurdy Man. Still not sure why it was chosen as the theme for Britannia though. I think Donovan is often seen as a UK copy of Bob Dylan but I reckon there was a bit more to him than that.

It gets sillier as one watches more episodes, as one become more immune.;)

Just cought up on watching all 4 sasons of Black Sails, and a nice change from the various crime series that I have mainly been watching of late.

A pirate prequel to Treasure Island.

After a few slow initial episodes that established characters I thought it was excellent. Very Game Of Thronish in the way major characters are dispatched!

From today’s papers.

Accompanying the preview of the final episode of Troy: Fall of a City (BBC One) came a note urging critics not to reveal the function of the “Trojan horse” before the episode aired. I was intrigued. What was this “Trojan horse” of which they spoke?

Now the credits have rolled, I’m at liberty to reveal that the “Trojan horse” was in fact a large wooden horse built by the Greeks. They left it on the beach outside Troy, having apparently retreated in defeat. The Trojans wheeled the horse into the city and celebrated. Yet Greek soldiers had hidden inside the horse! After nightfall they snuck out and opened the city gates to let in the Greek army, who had not, in fact, run away. It was very effective, this “Trojan horse”. I can even imagine the idea having wider cultural and metaphorical applications.”

Just finished The Bridge season 4 from SBS. Brilliant. Excellent cast all round. Saga played by Sofia Helin is simply fabulous.

Trying to watch this on SBS on demand .But every time I get to the first set of ads, the episode jumps back to the beginning. You can fast forward, but only as far as ads, then pot luck if it will play past the ads ."Rinse and Repeat" for each subsequent ad break. SO frustrating.

Has anyone watched Wild Wild Country on Netflix, it came highly recommended but I just about got through episode one, is it worth continuing ?
