!!!MODS!!!
I'll start this thread and invite mods to delete it if my warning is unwarranted...

I have just received an email from Miles & Smiles with an attachment said to be my December statement. Alarm bells ringing...since when do airlines email your statement as an attachment? Surely you would see your miles in the body layout? Alternatively you would be directed to the airline website.

Opening the attachment will probably infect your computer system with malicious code.

I received the same email. It didn't look suspicious to me, but then again, the OP may be right, who knows...

Have you opened the attachment? I am unwilling to do so.
I cannot recall receiving my statement this way before.

My Miles and Smiles statement has always arrived with an attachment.

OK, so over-reaction on my part. I'll ask mods to delete this thread then.

By far Tk are generous on matching other programs as well as inflight service and recognition! If you guys get a change to fly them then don't hesitate!

Here a short review on a flight from SGN to BKK

OK. It has been said that this is normal practice for TK to send a plain email with an attachment that contains your account details.

I have to say that I still do not like it, rightly or wrongly. Be very careful of any email that contains an attachment whether it be from a bank or an airline. Be wary. These sorts of communication can contain malicious code, typically that records keystrokes and reports back to the writer of the program all of your passwords. I would prefer, and do, instead of opening attachments go direct to the website and login to your account to check your account balance.

Just saying.
