Hi! I am planning my trip to Paris for next March and I am about to book through an agent (Private Homes Paris)
I feel more secured than rented through direct owners but if you know any agency in Sidney, happy to get infos.
Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I too am traveling to Paris in March. I booked a really nice 2 bed apartment through Loving Paris Apartments which is a UK company. They also offer a toll free telephone number for Aussies.

www.lovingparisapartments.com

We had to pay a deposit to confirm the reservation, balance paid upon arrival to the owner, however I bought euros today at .73 so have locked in a great rate overall.

Cheers...

We'll be there next week - used Paris Lux (US) firm. So far the experience has been great with access to a local conceige which has been heaven.

Nearly booked with a Sydney firm I think was called something like Paris apartments.....they were really helpful but the dates just didn't work.

As above I can also highly recommend airbnb.com I use it often in Paris and Nice when there.

Quite a few of the other apartment letting agencies can charge quite high commissions, however with airbnb you deal directly with the owner and pay a small fee to airbnb. Just read the reviews of previous people who have stayed there and communicate with the owner about what you both want.

Let us know how you go and what you decided on doing.

We used Central Paris Apartment for Holiday, vacation and short term rental for a six month stay that ended in November. They rent for lot shorter periods too. Australian based (Melbourne) and all transactions were in Aussie dollars. He has several apartments - our was a great one at Bastille. Others are in different areas of Paris. Rates include all services as well as internet and phone calls to most places including Australia. We are going back next year and found the service from the owner and the local guy on the ground excellent.

Hi there

We have booked for Paris in March 2012 at their apartment near the Louvre through Jean Francois Ropero - web page Accommodation Paris

Jean Francois came highly recommended, responded straight away and we paid a 50% deposit via Pay Pal and balance on arrival.

Good Luck

Noreen
