I recently applied for the E3 visa in Sydney. Because of an arrest 10 years ago for possession (case dismissed, no charges) I had to answer yes to one of the security questions.
This means my E3 was not approved on the spot and I have to go through the visa wavier process which takes 5 to 6 months.

I've had to go through the wavier process before for other visits to the US, and I still have a valid B1/B2 visa. I got a 5 year a while back and it is valid until 2018.

So my question is - Is it OK to travel on my existing B1/B2 visa while my E3 waiver is being processed?
I need to get to the US in August for some conferences to and visit friends.

I had immigration lawyers help me with my E3 and i've asked them as well, but they are slow, so thought i'd ask here. not sure if many people have been in this situation before....

Thanks!
