Hi team,

One of the consequences of joining this forum is I am now accruing lounge and ff program cards, as well as other miscellaneous travel bits and pieces. I am after a decent travel wallet that I can store all this stuff in. It won't be my everyday wallet, just something I can have in my carry-on so that everything is in the same place.

I saw an awesome retro QF one in their shop, but it only comes with two card slots. I am also after something with a zipper as I feel that is a little more secure and things won't fall out!

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Australia Post sell a cheap one for $19.99 that has 9 card slots, holds a passport, pen etc.
Bellroy also make very good quality products. I am sure Bellroy will have something in their range to suit.

I bought Mr Briar a Bellroy travel wallet with zip which holds passport and maybe six or so cards.

Bellroy also make a good wallet to hold two passports. It's also the right length to hold a boarding pass, and has a neat little pen just right for completing those pesky landing cards. 4 card slots, but you can easily double up cards in each. Two separate full-length note compartments. No zipper but everything sits firmly within it. It seemed expensive at the time (recommended on a similar AFF thread some years back) but I haven't regretted the purchase.

Slightly off topic, but I've found a Fisher Space Bullet Pen to be a great addition to my travel wallet. Compact and writes in the most awkward of positions (for those of us stuck in the back of the plane or juggling kids).

Bought one from Oroton at the DFO in Brisbane.
Good quality leather, space for 4 cards and 2 passports plus 2 pockets for air tickets - like when you have a connection and have all the boarding passes for both legs-
Outside pocket for a quickly taking in and out the passports with tickets, instead of having to open the organiser
It replaced my montblanc travel organiser and I don't miss it at all

I doesn't have a zipper but I found that I don't miss it the zipper at all.

Best thing is that it cost like $40 or something

If anyone remembers Hilton Premium Club a few years ago they handed out small wallets with membership that one can keep 4-6 cards in there easily. I think they are leather. Carry one with me overseas. In fact it's in my jacket pocket all the time. Keep some medicine in there as well. Not big enough to store passports or boarding passes.

Bellroy travel wallets are quite nice but expensive. Rushfaster have a collection of passport/travel wallets if you're interested.

I'd vote for Bellroy. They're so good I've even had one stolen!

I have an Oroton Travel Wallet, and an Oroton Passport Holder (Both fit the passports)
I find myself using the passport wallet holder more, it still has around 6 or so card slots, so I just cater the cards to the specific trip Im going on, and keep the others in the travel wallet.

Another vote for the Bellroy travel wallet. I was a bit worried about the size of it when I got it, but it ended up fitting in my pockets nicely.

Another vote for bellroy, it's pricey, but does a good job.

Otherwise just go with one of the standard sub $20 ones you find on eBay.

Another two votes for the Bellroy. Bought one for my son, he loved it for his SFO trip, so I bought one for myself for a similar trip. Great quality, perfect size.

Got myself a leather Samsonite RFID blocking travel wallet. Holds 2 passports and 9 cards and has a money compartment. Cost $85

Very happy with the wallet. Recommend

Does anyone with a Bellroy wallet have a frequent traveller passport (64 pages)? I contacted Bellroy and they said the passport specific wallets are designed for ordinary passports (32 pages), and are not suitable for the larger ones. Just wondering if anyone has a personal experience to the contrary.

Received mine this morning in response to this thread. The passport compartment will take two standard passports so a 64-page would be fine.

I bought mine from Iconic at 4 QF/$. Another option is ebay (via VA,QF,pricepal etc) but you'll need to buy something else to trigger the 15% off for over $150

Arrived within 48h well-packed

PS: another option I forgot when I ordered is to buy Iconic voucher at WW with Ent Book discount. May or may not double dip with cashback/mall/estore as a voucher purchase

Not sure about this. In the Bellroy 2-passport wallet, the outer passport has a its own separate slot in which the passport fits quite snugly. (You wouldn't want it to be loose - too much risk of the passport falling out.) I don't think a 64-page passport would fit into it. The second passport sits behind it in one of the two full-length slots used for notes and boarding passes. You could put a 64-page passport there but it bulks out the slot and the wallet then doesn't fold in half so neatly. If you had a second normal size passport in the outer slot as well I don't think it would come close to folding flat.
