I don't drink alcohol, Im not a foodie, I don't watch the entertainment so J is very much wasted on me if that stuff tickles your fancy. I sit down, shut up and zone out. I fly J for the space and comfort, which is why it exists.

sounds like United Airlines would be a perfect match :D

Any excitement for me quickly turns to anxiety when I realise it's 11pm and I have to pack, and be up at 4.30 am for a morning flight...

Having flown monthly for 5 years, I've recently had a period of 5 months with only 1 domestic trip, followed by 2 international trips over the past 6 months.

My excitement briefly kicks in when the upgrade fairy sends me a gift.

I definitely enjoy the trip - it's the planning and fiddly bits that bore me... maybe I've lost the love.

Thanks for the responses. Work is frantic at the moment so I will pull out the bags early, and gradually pack over the next two weeks, clothes at the last minute. Why is it when you are going on holidays, things to do at work before you go becomes ballistic

Despite all the travel we do I still get excited.Especially if it is another thing off the bucket list.
our next trip is in September but going to Cuba and through the Panama canal.
Heck I'm even excited about flying tomorrow even if it means I will be on Rex into BWT.

For me, the lead up and planning for the trip is almost as exciting as going to the airport and getting on the plane. I always get heavily into the research and reading and itinerary reading for my trips away.

My partner and I are starting a business and so have decided to take a trip before things get too hectic. It was planned and booked about 10 weeks out from departure so it's gone pretty quickly and we're down to less than two weeks till departure! VA J to LAX/return, my partner's first international J trip so I'm looking forward to experiencing it with them. I have booked us into the Rydges at Sydney Airport for the night before to make departure morning less stressful and to get a sneaky plane spotting session in just to amp up the excitement that little bit more!

Enjoy reading about everyone's upcoming travels.
