I'm just researching a need to get from FRA to ABZ. After an early arrival on QR. I'm searching for flights departing about 10:30 am and arriving in ABZ by about 6 pm.
The best option looks to be BA via London.
KLM via AMS looks better but Skyscanner is giving a warning about having to re-check. I also don't think I'd have lounge access, (haven't researched if qantas platinum helps).

Via london, the transit time is about 4 or 5 hours connecting to the same flight from LHR. FRA to London has options to LHR or LCY.
I'm kind of contemplated taking the LCY version for about $35 less. It looks like DLR and Elizabeth line takes 1.5 hours, and costs about $20. (approx 12 quid, I think)

Am I being crazy to even think about this to save $10? Are there immigration issues post Brexit (arriving from EU on an Australian Passport)?
I'm going to have to drag my suitcase across town, aren't I?

On the plus side, new airport, could go via Poplar (reference that midwife TV show), see the east end, canary wharf.

Yes

No. You can use the eGates.

LCY is a shocker for departing (very limited facilities and can get quite crowded). Not so bad arriving.

I've turned it into a poll...

but even asking the question I think this is just out there cray cray...

don't even ask about the return from ABZ...
Well train to west coast Scotland via Glasgow,
Hackney murder mile
leave Friday got to be back at FRA on Sunday... lol

Actually I read your OP as LHR -> LCY transfer but LCY -> LHR could actually be better but I’d still aim for transiting in either LCY or LHR.

BTW, QR will check bags through to BA even on separate PNRs. Including to ABZ if you transit the same airport.

Yes, I re-read my post it is confusing. Sorry.

I'm comparing (DOH)-xFRA-LCY/LHR-ABZ and (DOH)-xFRA-xLHR-ABZ
With separate bookings to DOH-FRA and FRA-ABZ.
I'm not sure I want the people paying for me to get to/from Europe to know I'm going to ABZ

Interline from QR is massively great to know. A question still on my 'to research' list.
