Transit at DPS?

Are there any transit facilities in DPS for JQ flights? Or would the pax need to go through customs? Thinking of perhaps hoping on JQ117 SIN-DPS, then one of the flameliners down to AU. Roughly 2 hour transit time, so probably not a good idea if I need to go through customs (despite not needing to pay for a VOA).

I'm not sure about transit facilities for JQ flights but my experience was on VA. Back in February, I arrived at DPS (the new terminal) on a status run from BNE and tried the airside transfer desk (it was literally a desk) for my onward flight on QZ to SIN (before turning around on a cheap J class fare on EK ex-SIN). I was not surprised that I was turned away. In the end, I had to clear immigration and customs but still made it with plenty of time to exchange some IDR for the departure tax... Just follow the transfer/transit sign and try your luck!

Any recent experience of this by anyone? Looking at viability of Syd-dps-sin on seperate tickets with a 1hr 55min connection. Seems like a couple of wide body and narrow body flights come in at around that time but reading other forums on line seems like the new terminal can easily handle it..

I notice that KLM have a daily DPS/SIN vv service that offer economy fares from approx AUD142.00 one way & being a major airline you may be able to do OLCI thus enabling to remain airside and avoid clearing customs & paying departure tax.

Can't offer advice on separate tix but my brother did ADL-DPS-SIN on one JQ ticket (was cheaper than individual sectors) and they were escorted to security, with no need to go landside. So airside transfers are theoretically possible, but that may not help of course if on separate tickets.
