Flew Nanjing to Beijing with China Eastern last week - thought you guys might be interested in a few shots.

First surprise you will receive as a First Class / Business Class pax is that your checked luggage wil be condomised to keep it clean - just a nice touch.



Then there is the nice welcoming entrance into First Class Lounge No 1.


Again food and beverage on offer almost non-existant as is case in most Chinese domestic lounges - zero alchohol on offer which did upset me slightly as the sun was already up on that day.


I guess second rate luke warm brewed coffee is better than Nescafe instant to some.


Seating standard at least is comfortable as you wait for your 3 hour delayed flight.

Of course if your flight is delayed 3 hours - you are gonna need to visit the girls room / boyys room at least once right? First you go find them.....


Yes that what I am looking for - the little boys room....


WTF - aint nothin to sit on.....


And in this age of equality - what is good for the goose is good for the goosette also - right?


Now come on girls - you have been practising your squatting since you could walk - how could you be repulsed by this thought in the First Class Lounge No 1?

So if this is the quality of conveniences in First Class Lounge - lets go check what is available to the plebs who have to sit down the back.....

Damn - they do get some support whilst undertaking the task at hand.....


But wait - something is missing from this picture - what can it be? This might explain


Thats right - you gotta take your required supplies with you before you enter the stalls - again standard practice in most similar conveniences across China.

Now I do not know about you - but this is one task that is kinda really just hard to judge - exactly how long is a piece of string?

No I am not fixated on toilets - it's just many people do not believe without seeing.

Seating on board quite comfortable if not slightly dated - 20 J seats - 5 pax.


Again for Princess Fiona - see if you can find this label in Dan's? Gotta admit - it wasn't the best red I have ever had - but 3 hours sitting on my clacker without a drink in hand left me a tad parched.


Was dished up the wateriest soup ever concocted as entree / appetiser - no thanks - I'll stick to the red.


3 choices of main course - beef and rice or chicken and noodles or corn suzette I think - chose the chicken and noodles.


Full meal st - again not quite up to SQ standard - but China is China - yes Fiona - I emptied the bottle of red and they opened a second.


3 hour delay out of Nanjing meant 3 hoyrs late arrival into Beijing which meant the pre-arranged Beijing Duck had to wait til next night - did I mention I love Beijing Duck?
