How is China Airlines business class?

Not sure whether I've made a rash decision or not, but today I decided to book a return flight to Taipei. Qantas point offer for a classic award booking with China Airlines was just too attractive to ignore and I was very surprised to find direct business class seats available during NSW school...

How is China Airlines business class?

Aside from several very good reports about China Airlines here on AFF, just google 'china airlines business class trip report' and you'll see plenty of detailed photo and video reports of the product by travellers.

If you haven't tried an A350, I havent either, this might be the chance.
If SC earn is important, maybe go via JL NRT/HND, (more SC), maybe a tad more
$, ... but as you say, yours is an award redemption, so SC is not important.
Edit (ps, I do realise CI carries a QF flight number on a certain number of their flight sectors).
You might have to check and see where you will be sitting, probably no choice/limited choice.
For me, I would pay for their J to try out their contract lounge in MEL/SYD/BNE, and also in TPE coming back.
Go for it, you might not get window seats, but at the least, you have access on this possible trip into their CI J class lounge at TPE.

ive just used qantas points to redeem biz class tickets with China Airlines for CNY.
Their A350 products are great and availability is good.

Economy is also very good on the A350 with them too.

Still haven't made up my mind yet.
Normally I like to save business class travel for morning flights or to start the trip.
The gf is now thinking we should stick with economy hoping the flight is empty and we can score an empty row.
We will be flying around mid May, 18th or 19th and the flight is at 23.30 and arrives Sydney 10.45.
Are CI flights normally full?

@Dr Ralph I booked it just before the point increase. Travel date is 13.03.20.

I've been reading your Taiwan thread, cant wait for your review and tips. I will be in Taiwan for 2.5 half days and plan on packing it up with food adventures.
