Hi all only just recently joined, have learnt alot from this great forum. Regulary travel TSV-BNE-Perth-KTA & return for work. One way each week. Have just made Platinum after 3 months in the job & luckily 2 days before my SC rolled over.
Great site hope I can eventually contribute some useful information

Adrian

Welcome to AFF!

At your rate of accrual you might be getting close to Platinum One next membership year!

Welcome aboard Adrian.

If your travel plans ever give you time off in Perth, check out the meetings/social events threads. We now have a regular drinks night every two months, and are also planning a sitdown dinner in July.

Thanks guys, I'm usually in Perth every 4th Tuesday from 1600 until the red eye departs for Brissie. If I stay in this job I'd expect to make P1 easily this year.

Palmer street.

Townsville is a dump. ( I say that because I lived there for 10 years).
But some of the Nicest people I ever met are from Townsville.
I met my wife there , my daughters are both born there.
Lots of good things happened to me there.
Some really good restaurants.
A place of contradictions.

Palmer St has the best selection, The Watermark on the Strand is my favourite or for "in room" try picking something up from Clint Bradley's in the Harvey Norman centre... Slim pickings in TOWNSVILLE I'm afraid :(

I'm staying on Palmer St

Sat next to a TSV local on the flight up. Breakfast tomorrow at Betty Blues and dinner tomorrow at Casa Italian. Fingers crossed it goes well!

Thanks for the suggestions... That will cover Sunday.
Conditions not ideal for diving so got 2 days to fill now.

Taez.

Tom and Adele's "The Garden of Eating" in South Townsville (they are in the yellow pages) - best food in town hands down.
